Grisoft start to help webmasters

It seems that after the AVG controversy whereby the latest AVG scanner was causing unwanted traffic that skews the data of traffic for webmasters.

Pat Bitton contacted DoesWhat stating,
"AVG R&D is forming a consultative group involving a number of webmasters who’ve contacted me as a result of my comments posted at The Register and replicated elsewhere in the blogosphere. If you’d like to be part of that effort, just let me know your email address."

DoesWhat replied,
"Thanks Pat, your effort in resolving analytics issues for webmasters is admirable. You should receive an email shortly containing our email address."

Followed by a reply from Pat Bitton,
"Thanks - have forwarded your contact info to Roger and the development team."

Clearly they are putting some effort into fixing the problems.

Mircrosoft want you to stop using Safari on their platform

Microsoft has said that
"Windows users who visit a booby-trapped site with Safari could be forced to download and execute malicious files with no prompting, the 'blended threat' is a result of the default download location in Safari and the way the Windows desktop handles executable files.
Even though the main warning is for the Windows version, security experts believe the "carpet bombing" issue could occur on Apple's own operating system.
